CROCODILE TEARS SYNDROME….BOGORAD’S SYNDROME

Bogorad's syndrome or the Crocodile tears syndrome is the consequence of faulty regenerating autonomic facial nerve fibers that incorrectly connect to the lacrimal glands instead of the salivary glands during recovery phase after facial paralysis. This causes profuse tearing while taking food. This is a very rare condition and happens after Bell's palsy (7th Cranial Nerve paralysis).
